3 Protective Styles You Should Try this Season!

Updated: Feb 8, 2022

Hey Beauties!

Most of you guys know that I am a Natural Hairstylist. One of the most popular styles I offer is protective styling!

I recommend trying protective styling while you are on the journey to grow longer thicker hair. There are two main reasons for this. Firstly protective styling allows you to reduce manipulation on your hair. Reducing manipulation is greatly beneficial in avoiding hair breakage. Secondly, protective styling allows you to easily apply your Intense Herbal Growth Serum because your hair is already preparted!

Here are 3 of my favorites styles that you may want to consider while on your hair growth journey this season.

Knotless Braids

Knotless Braids have become extremely popular in the last few years, and for good reason. This method of braid extensions is a great way to have a polished, natural look while being almost tension free when installed correctly. This style lasts about 3-6 weeks.

Spring Twists

Spring Twists are another beautiful protective styling option. This style gets its name because the twists are 'springy' in the sense that they move and stretch very naturally. The twists are lightweight and realistic. They are installed using a knotless twisting technique and they age beautifully. This style lasts about 6-8 weeks.

Feed in Braids

There are no shortage of ways to rock this style. Feed in braids are achieved by starting the braid off with your natural hair and then slowly feeding small pieces of extension hair in. This technique results in a beautiful natural feel which looks amazing on everyone! This style lasts about 2-3 weeks.

These protective style options are a great place to start if you are wondering what to do with your hair. Feel free to add adornments and color for a personal twist! It's very important to continue your healthy hair growth practices while wearing protective styles including wrapping your hair nightly and more.
